Suicide Bombing Rocks Eilat

Filed under: Security, Eilat, Suicide Bombing, Writings — Josh @ 13:43

A 21-year-old suicide bomber killed three people this morning when he entered a bakery in the southern Israeli city of Eliat and blew himself up. An al-Qaeda affiliated group called Army of Believers took responsibility for the blast as did the terrorist groups Islamic Jihad and the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade. The bomber was identified as Mohammed Fasial al-Saqsaq from Gaza.

UPDATE: The three victims were named as Israel Smuliah, 26, Michael Ben-Sa’adon, also 26, and Emil Almaliach, 36. Almaliach is survived by two small children and his wife. Ben-Sa’adon is survived by his son, a baby boy, and his wife.

The suicide bomber’s mother is “very proud” of her son, who is, in her eyes, a “martyr.”
